MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a program led by and designed for mothers with children ages birth to 5. Meetings begin with a social pot-luck breakfast and a creative activity or game, and include guest speakers who address topics relevant to parenting and motherhood. Speaker topics can include issues such as women’s health, strengthening relationships, marriage, discipline, and money and time-saving tips. Small personal discussion groups are also held, in order to share ideas, thoughts, and experiences with other moms. Mothers may attend MOPS with or without their children.
MOPS at Grace meets from 9:15 to 11:30 a.m. on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month, September through May. The cost is $77 per semester. Partial scholarships are available; email MOPSatGrace1@gmail.com for more information.
MOPS also offers a program for children ages 6 months – 5 years, called MOPPETS. MOPPETS aims to provide quality, loving childcare and enable little ones to engage in developmentally appropriate play and educational activities during meetings. Homeschooled siblings are also welcome. Babies six months and under are welcome to stay with moms during the meeting!
NOTE: Due to space limitations and childcare liability, you must register before attending a MOPS meeting!
