Angel Cartagena is the founder and pastor of Acts 8:31 Ministries, a teaching
ministry headquartered in Mount Airy, NC. Angel has been a licensed minister
since 2005, and was ordained a pastor in 2014, at Bridgeway Community Church,
where he served as the Associate Pastor of Care & Adult Christian Education. He is
also currently an adjunct professor at Carolina Christian College, in Winston-
Salem, as well as working with a small group of private clients in his life coaching
practice. As if he wasn’t busy enough, Angel is also working on finishing his doctoral
dissertation—“Racism and the American Church: A Systems Approach to Healing
and Reconciliation.”
Angel has published three books, including his latest book “The Other Side: Life
After Divorce.” This latest effort is a 30-week devotional designed to help Christians
heal from the trauma of divorce. Angel is happily married to Wendy and they have
three adult children—Kristen, Ruben, and Jasmin—as well as a grandson, Cyrus.
