Drexel Feeling is a native of Washington, DC. He attended St. Johns College High School, earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1984, with a major in Electrical Engineering, served as an officer in the US Air Force from 1984 – 1992, and earned a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Wright State University in 1992. Drexel separated from the Air Force in 1992 to study law at the Ohio State University where he earned his law degree in 1995. Drexel was licensed as an attorney in Ohio in 1995, licensed as a patent attorney in 1996, and practiced law in the Cleveland, OH area for 28 years. He moved to Greensboro in June 2023 to work remotely and began worshipping with Grace Community Church shortly thereafter.
As a child, Drexel attended a small, private Christian school during his elementary school and junior high years, studied the bible in school 5 days a week, and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior while in elementary school. In 1985, he married Lisa, his wife of 39+ years. This union resulted in 4 biological children and 2 adopted sons.
While in Cleveland, OH, Drexel served the community in various ways. He served on the Board of Education for the Shaker Heights City School District, where he served as president for 2 years, vice president for 2 years, and on the Finance and Audit committee for 7 years. Drexel also served on the Shaker Heights City Financial Advisory Group for 2 years, and served on the Board of Trustees for Scranton Road Ministries and the Lutheran Housing Corp.
Drexel’s first visit to Grace reminded him of the glimpse of heaven provided in Revelations 7:9: “. . . and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb . . .” It is my privilege to serve at Grace.
